Pri HaEmek/ Bounty of the Valley CSA
Pri HaEmek is Hebrew for Bounty of the Valley. It is a not-for-profit CSA that is about more than buying sustainable local produce that tastes great. The seeds for creating the CSA were planted by the Green Team of Temple Beth-El in Poughkeepsie. It has grown to become a community-wide endeavor. The CSA is grounded in Jewish values concerning the environment, but is open to anyone. Throughout the year there will be programming around Jewish themes, especially around the Jewish holidays.Being concerned about community, each year our CSA will grant some tzedakah shares provided through the membership fee and donations.Pri HaEmek is run by its shareholders. They participate in many ways to make this a successful CSA.
