Yesterday, members of the Jewcology community attended “Greening America’s Congregations: The Faith Community and Energy Efficiency," organized and hosted by White House Office for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships. The event brought together more than 100 faith leaders to talk about how we as the faith community can make a different in saving energy, saving money, and reducing emissions.

On Tu b'Shevat 2013, Jewcology will conclude our Year of Learning Jewish Learning on the Environment. In appropriate Jewish fashion, we will turn immediately from this year of learning to applying our new wisdom through action. The Year of Action will focus on the Jewish mitzvah of Bal Tashchit (avoiding "unnecessary destruction" or "waste").
