Riverdale Y

The Riverdale Y is an irrestible community portal through which increasing numbers ofindividuals and families of all backgrounds and orientations interact with one another through programming and activities that nurture and promote Jewish identity and continuity.

The Riverdale Y sponsors a Farmer’s Market on Sundays (the first and only in Riverdale) where local farmers and local producers of organic, pesticide- and preservative-free foods, as well as local artisans, sell to the community. The Market features workshops on healthy eating/cooking, and Jewish specialties (such as Rosh Hashanah Challah baking). The Riverdale Y also hosts an annual Environmental Fair which, in addition to education, offers recycling opportunities for electronics, textiles, batteries, etc.
