My most successful community greening project…hmm, you’re making me work here. I don’t suppose I can count using a manual mower to cut the grass and lending it out to a young man in the neighborhood who used it to mow other people’s lawns. I’m big on using LED lights, and I set the example by using LED lighting in my house and chatting it up with a friend to get him to use them, too. I’m also working on a project where people use their 401(k) funds to buy solar power, wind power, etc. generating equipment for their homes.
Changing incandescant llight bulbs to CFL. It’s easy and everyone can participate. Thanks to COEJL for their “Light unto the Nations” campaign a while back.
