one of the most challenging environmental changes I’ve dealt with is the pollution and destruction that sometimes comes with development and advancement. I grew up in a suburb of DC. Long before I was born the creeks and springs around the area had become polluted, or filled in to a great extent, or even stopped up. There was a disconnect between the people and the land because of that, I think.
